What personal data do we collect and why

Comments 

When visitors leave a comment on the website, we collect the data shown in the form of the comment, and the IP address of the visitor and string of the user agent browser, to detect spam message more easily.  

It is possible that an anonymized string created from your email address (also called hash) was delivered to the Gravatar service to check whether you are using it. The privacy rules of the Gravatar service are available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After the approval of your comment, your profile picture is publicly visible in the context of your comment.  

Media

If you transfer a picture to the website, you should avoid the transfer of pictures that have embedded location data (EXIF GPS). The website visitors can download them and extricate the location data from the pictures on the website.

From the messages sent via contact forms, we collect the following data: your name and email address. 

Cookies 

If you write a comment on our website, you can opt to save your name, email address and website to cookies. This would facilitate easier commenting in the future so that you don’t have to enter this information again. These cookies expire after one year.   

If you have an account and log into this website, we will place a temporary cookie to establish whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain personal data and is deleted once you turn off the browser.  

Once you log in, we will also place a few cookies to store your login data and screen settings. The login cookies expire for two days, while the screen settings cookies expire after one year. How long do we store your data

If you write a comment, the comment or its metadata will be stored forever. This is so we can recognize and approve future comments, instead of keeping them on the approval list. 

For users who register on our website (if there are any), we also store personal data stated in their user profiles. All users can see, edit or delete their personal data at any time (except that they can’t change their username). The administrators of the website may also see and edit this information.  

What rights do you have over your data

If you have an account on this website, or you wrote comments, you may request delivery of your exported personal data file, which includes all data you have delivered to us. This does not include the data that we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.   

Where do we send your data

The visitors’ comments may be checked through the automatic service for detection of unwanted mail.
